This recent article mentions James Hong of HotorNot.com and how he became a customer of Rackspace when he was launching his company. At the time, James and his brother Tony were panicking because they were running AmIHotorNot.com (that’s what they used to call it) out of a dorm room on a broadband connection. They needed capacity fast and Rackspace made it happen. We put dozens of servers online for them literally overnight.

The site’s not hosted at Rackspace anymore, but it’s still online. Congratulations to James and Tony for building a concept that’s alive and well almost seven years later…
